Gonna echo a previous comment from @ADR3-N - "getting closer and closer to that clean ass studio sound". Halfway through, already ready to give you 5 stars. Man. I knew some rappers who couldn't hold it down, but you're working at this. Don't stop. Never stop :).

Cyberdevil responds:

Ey, appreciate it. :) Hopefully the next two are all the closer; cleaner; studio-like that way! It's interesting how slowly you evolve; start noticing the differences and nuances when you look back. Shall keep it moving!!!

Love the maxed out waveform, and I can still hear you! Raw, awesome. Blending styles is where it's at. 2020? So far behind. Thanks for the share man.

Cyberdevil responds:

Ah you listened to the original version after all. :D The mixtape version's a bit more polished, but this does have an appreciatively heavy tone to it too, indeed, thank you man!

guyfromKillerRAT responds:

I feel þe exact opposite way 😅 I feel I did a horrible job mixing and also hate my vocal performance as backing vocals, alþough I must say I like Cyberdevil's parts a lot and it'd be great to hear what þis song may have sounded like, had I actually devoted more time to it þan just an hour and a half.

Despite all of þis, I greatly appreciate þe kind words and at þe end of þe day, if someone out þere likes it more þan I do, þat's all þat matters to me. tysm xoxo

2021? I'm so far behind on NG creativity! Have another +5. You better be making some coin on this kind of thing at some point?

Cyberdevil responds:

There is sooo much good stuff on NG though innit! Enough to spend a lifestyle browsing. :)

Appreciate it! Thus far no coin, but long-term that would be nice... right now I'm just building my catalog; honing my writing; whenever opportunity may come a knocking...

Instant fave. Awesome blend of styles man. We need more of this!

Cyberdevil responds:

Thank you man. :) Would love to do more like this one too, with new mic and all it'd be quite the ball!

Non-rap-fan metal dude approaches & approves - I can actually follow this! Curious lack of autotune =D. Good to know not everyone's leaning on it. 1 part experiment, 1 part skill, lots to say - nice!

Cyberdevil responds:

Heeey if you're a metal dude maybe you'd appreciate some of my more numetal stuff too! :D Something to bring up at a later time hmm... glad you liked this! Indeed the part experiment part seems to fuel inspiration too; make it all the more fun to work with these. TY on the skill bit - practice seems to be bearing fruit. :) And I'm not a fan of how much autotune there is in the industry either these days, feels like it's just not for real if you can't perform without it - even if it probably does make some things sound better when used right/with moderation/in such amounts you barely even notice - none here though!

"To shun their brothers in a time of need"... hmm.

Lots of space & time to digest this. Sorry for the wait. A great listen :).

Oh, a poetry reading. I never appreciated this sort of thing, but getting a window into the sort who makes this type of work is opening a door.

5-star with one minor idea which I'm sure you already know as I'm listening to your other stuff as I write this: give short pieces more space! I was disappointed it only took 2 minutes to listen and feel this could've been 4-5 :). Not a criticism, just an opinion, don't take this wrong. Keep up the brave works :).

OK, you were asking about niches recently and finding a groove (more or less)? Do more of this!!!

This is a perfect level of complexity. It conjures up Rush tunes in my mind, and several other bands that find ways to give each instrument lots of room to breathe on the same track. I can't detect a pervasive 5/4 signature and soloing is minimal -- both of which are hard to follow for most people -- but there's layers here. I think if you leaned into this kind of thing & got noticed? Gold. Just my two cents :).

I too play bass ;). It's currently raining. My mother passed awhile back; she used to wish I would become a spaceman. It's not in the cards, so a little imagination helps once in awhile. This works for me :). Downloaded.
