Gonna echo a previous comment from @ADR3-N - "getting closer and closer to that clean ass studio sound". Halfway through, already ready to give you 5 stars. Man. I knew some rappers who couldn't hold it down, but you're working at this. Don't stop. Never stop :).

Cyberdevil responds:

Ey, appreciate it. :) Hopefully the next two are all the closer; cleaner; studio-like that way! It's interesting how slowly you evolve; start noticing the differences and nuances when you look back. Shall keep it moving!!!

Love the maxed out waveform, and I can still hear you! Raw, awesome. Blending styles is where it's at. 2020? So far behind. Thanks for the share man.

Cyberdevil responds:

Ah you listened to the original version after all. :D The mixtape version's a bit more polished, but this does have an appreciatively heavy tone to it too, indeed, thank you man!

2021? I'm so far behind on NG creativity! Have another +5. You better be making some coin on this kind of thing at some point?

Cyberdevil responds:

There is sooo much good stuff on NG though innit! Enough to spend a lifestyle browsing. :)

Appreciate it! Thus far no coin, but long-term that would be nice... right now I'm just building my catalog; honing my writing; whenever opportunity may come a knocking...

OIC :). A chesty character. Any insight into how you went from the concept to pixel art?

MrPajamaPants responds:

Wow, interesting question!

In terms of "designing" the character, I had her look pretty thought out in my head already. She's inspired by characters like Excella Gionne from Resident Evil 5, and Lien Neville from King of Fighters, so I knew from the get-go that she would be some sort of busty CEO, but I had no idea what her hair/skin/outfit color would be.

I played around with her being dark-skinned but didn't really find a color combination with an outfit that I truly liked. I eventually settled on her being fair-skinned, blonde, with a green dress. I wanted to convey the fact that her world is a near-future cyberpunk world, and the world consists of a lot of hard angled shapes. This is mostly because the company she owns is very influential and I want to connect her very personality to the world's appearance.

So, even though I love to draw sexy characters I try to sincerely tell a story with their design and do my best to put some thought into why they look the way they look, and how it can elevate a greater idea like a story for a movie or game.

When it comes to my literal "drawing" process, I actually begin by doing a line art sketch that eventually becomes the finalized illustration with outlines and color, and once the final illustration is done I move on to pixel art.

I sort of approach all my character art--whether it's pixel art or illustration--by blocking out the body parts/clothes. However, I don't do this with blocks of color like painters do, I actually do line art and then fill with color later. I'm really inspired by manga and the art for Capcom IP's like Street Fighter and Resident Evil, so I think that's where I get my love for line art.

When it comes to maintaining color consistency between the illustration and pixel art, I'll use the color pick tool on my illustration and then use those colors for the pixel art. Easier this way, though I suppose someone could do it the other way around just as easily.

Thanks for the question!

Yes, I'm perusing your older stuff too :). S'pose I'll need to check out your games to see animation?

Cyberdevil responds:

Or the movies, yes. ;) I don't think I have any animated art yet. Thanks for checking!

Wish I had this level of "just do it" creative energy. Good stuff bud. You might have to teach me your thinking approach for this kind of thing sometime. There's lots I'd like to say, but over complicate it often. I didn't even need the description to understand. Keep it up!

Cyberdevil responds:

Hmm it does seem like you do though, what with all the work you've been putting out thus far. :) Be happy to. Though I suppose the approach with these is almost shamefully simple - I usually just start drawing and see where it leads - oftentimes the lack of planning does show a bit in the motives. XD Sometimes it turns out well, sometimes a bit too predictable or simple I think! Complexity's a virtue; a desirable trait too in our sometimes overly simplified world; social outlet IMO.

Thank you!
