A little late here, but I really like the idea behind this! Frankly, there's a lot of painter types that don't go far beyond this level of detail and they seem to do fine. Got any other bubbled creatures hiding in your pocket? =)

This is an old one but thanks for the review! I think this was from around the time I was looking at pictures of sunset/sunrise and clouds. The references helped a ton.

Mega-DOOM fan + mod maker gives 5 stars (shock, gasp! ;)). This post was so much fun to read, and the result is pretty awesome too. I'd watch you twitching around as doom-guy on the HUD, haha =). If I was aware of this earlier I would've sought your input. Also, it's encouraging me to think about trying pastels, something that never would've occurred as I'm one of those dirty art outsiders ;). Hope to see where you go!

OK, let me explain. I don't make males, I don't understand anime/JRPG at all... but I still love this! You've managed to reach someone who has no clue and has totally different interests. Previous comments are definitely sincere. You know what you're doing. Nothing to say except: keep up the great work!

(...if I was forced at gunpoint to give critique, splash in one of your fearless backgrounds ;), I think this sort of character deserves a scene)

Aahhh thank you, haha. It's funny because my style leans to anime mostly due to how I like how the guys are drawn.

Anyway, fair critique! Backgrounds aren't my strong suit. To be fair, some of these pieces I've posted were made earlier on in the year while school was going on. After I'm done with a personal project of mine, I'm definitely looking towards adding more backgrounds to my pieces. I agree it adds a lot more to pieces! :D
